Senior Commercial & Residential Valuation Surveyor (2-3 Years Post MRICS qualified)

Role Overview
Due to the continued expansion of our markets, we are seeking a Chartered Surveyor (2–3 years post-qualified) to join our Valuation & Advisory team in our City office to deal largely with loan security valuations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive, commercially minded individual to develop their career within a dynamic and client-facing environment.
Our team undertakes valuations across Greater London and the Home Counties, with a focus on north-east London, for purposes such as loan security, financial reporting, acquisition, disposal, tax planning, and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake RICS Red Book valuations of commercial and residential properties (including retail, offices, industrial, residential and development sites) for a range of purposes in a wide geographical area.
- Experience in dealing with loan security valuations.
- Conduct inspections, take measurements, and carry out market research to support accurate and thorough valuation reporting.
- Liaise with clients, legal advisers, and other stakeholders throughout the valuation process.
- Manage a diverse caseload, delivering high-quality work to agreed deadlines.
- Assist in business development, client retention, and fee generation initiatives.
- Attend client meetings, presentations, and industry events as required.
- Collaborate across service lines and support junior surveyors where appropriate.
Person Specification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience drafting both formal and informal reports.
- Excellent analytical skills, numeracy, and attention to detail.
- Valuation experience across multiple property types, including retail, office, industrial, and residential and residential development land for loan security and other purposes.
- Familiarity with lenders and lender panels for loan security work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience using valuation software such as Argus Developer, Argus Enterprise, Valos, and/or KEL.
- Ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.
